The B.A. degree program is designed to introduce you to a variety of artistic styles and periods from around the world, including non-western art. You’ll learn about art history theory, criticism, and research methods.

This program emphasizes the development of critical thinking, research, and writing skills, and focuses on visual literacy, as well as an understanding of the historical and cultural factors that have shaped and influenced different art styles over time.

The curriculum covers five general areas of art history, including:
